Taking Wellness One Step at a Time
Embarking on a wellness journey can feel overwhelming, but breaking it down into manageable steps makes it achievable and enjoyable. Start with small, consistent changes. Begin by incorporating a short daily walk into your routine, gradually increasing your activity level. Focus on hydration by drinking an extra glass of water each day.
Prioritize sleep by setting a regular bedtime and creating a calming pre-sleep routine. Introduce mindfulness practices, like deep breathing or meditation, for a few minutes each day.
Remember, wellness is a marathon, not a sprint. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small, and keep moving forward. Each step brings you closer to a healthier, happier you.
Ideas for Taking Wellness One Step at a Time

Activity of the Month- March
Happiness is a broad term that describes positive emotions such as joy, hope, contentment, and satisfaction. Happy people are more successful, maintain better relationships, have less stress and are more creative than those who experience lower levels of happiness. Trying to live a happy life is not about denying negative emotions or pretending to feel joyful all the time. We all encounter hardship and it’s normal for us to feel anger, sadness, frustration, and other negative emotions as a result. Happiness is being able to make the most of these times, recognizing the positive, as well as coping effectively. Statistically, people are happiest when they take responsibility for their happiness and find meaning in daily actions rather than chasing a certain lifestyle.
Happiness is part of the human experience and is an important component of a meaningful and fulfilled life. Use the following calendar to complete four daily prompts each week to increase your happiness.

Wellness Insurance Incentive
Tooele County School District, in partnership with SelectHealth, provides opportunities for
employees to engage in healthy activities throughout the year. Tooele County School District

encourages employees to participate in the SelectHealth Share wellness offerings.
By completing the wellness activities listed in the wellness program employee engagement

Employees have a chance to remove the premium differential by completing ALL the wellness activities listed below by December 31, 2024 and letting Kamille Ortiz know by January 5, 2025. Once you have completed the activities and let Kamille know, the differential will be removed the following month.

How to Use Personify Health
Frequently Asked Questions
If couples work for the district, does only one of them have to do the wellness program? If the second spouse does the program, and insurance isn’t though them, will their numbers count for our district numbers?
Only the subscriber of the policy (whose name it is under) has to complete the Wellness Program. If the second spouse does the program, their numbers won’t count for the district numbers.
Can employees not on the SelectHealth insurance join activity challenges?
Yes. Kamille will need a list of names to add them to the Wellness Only plans so they can have access to Virgin Pulse.
