Meal distribution will take place in cafeterias due to food safety and staffing. Staff will continue to follow rigorous cleaning and sanitizing practices, including sanitizing high touch point areas such as serving lines, milk boxes, tables, etc. After students receive their school meal, staff will enter in the student's identification number to prevent multiple people from touching the keypad.
Depending on the layout of the school's cafeteria, different accommodations will be made. Please check with your school for specific information on where/when students will eat lunch. In all scenarios, students must be at least 6-feet apart while eating and should not share food.
Menu choices have been adjusted to help accommodate different scenarios. Along with the traditional menu, a menu has been created with food options that are less messy in the event students need to eat outside of the cafeteria. Salad bars will be discontinued and converted to packaged salad items.
Students enrolled in a TCSD online school will still have access to receive school meals, (they must be enrolled through Blue Peak Online or My Tech High to receive these services). They will need to go to a designated school to pick-up the grab and go meals—more details to come.
