Anna Smith Elementary- Mr. Ken Castagno will teach a lesson about Veterans Day
Copper Canyon- The schools will participate in a Veterans Walk
Grantsville Elementary- Classroom activities, letters to military veterans, students will sing the Star-Spangled Banner, and student council will read history about Veteran's Day, as well as sharing some information about Armistice Day.
Ibapah Elementary- Mr. Ken Castagno will teach a lesson about Veterans Day
Middle Canyon- Veterans Day assembly held on Nov. 9th
Northlake Elementary- Literacy Night, on Nov. 14th, will be military themed.
Overlake Elementary- Students will be writing letters to active duty military members
Rose Springs Elementary- Nov. 12th will begin with the National Anthem, and Mr. Peterson will announce the Patriotism Principle during the week.
Settlement Canyon Elementary- Students will read and learn about military veterans in class. Many classrooms will be involved in making cards or writing letters. In the school, there will be a bulletin board honoring veterans.
Stansbury Park Elementary- There will be a display, honoring military veterans, set-up for the month of November in the school rotunda. There will be a Veterans Day program Nov. 2nd.
Sterling Elementary- A Student Council volunteer will lead the school in the Pledge of Allegiance and talk about Veterans Day. The school is in contact with Congressman Stewart about writing letters to active military personnel.
West Elementary- 1st grade classrooms have invited a veteran to come and visit. The students will write letters to military veterans. The students also focus their sentence writing and graphic organizers around a patriotic non-fiction text. The school librarian has put a white veteran’s table up with an empty seat symbolic for the veteran who didn’t return home. She discussed the symbolism with students who come to the library. There will be a Veteran’s Wall set-up by the 4th grade.

Clarke N. Johnsen Jr. High- Military Veterans display in the school
Grantsville Jr. High- There will be a flag raising ceremony with a small Veteran’s Day presentation Nov. 12th at 8:05 a.m.
Tooele Jr. High- There will be a flag Raising ceremony Nov 12th.
Blue Peak High- During 1st period teachers will take time to discuss why we celebrate military veterans and Veteran’s Day.
Dugway School- Each classroom will have a presentation, Soldiers from the base will come to speak with students.
Granstville High- There will be a Veterans Day assembly and classroom discussions on Nov. 12th.
Stansbury High- Veterans Dinner on Nov. 10th.
Tooele High- Freedom week will be held Nov. 12-16. There will be an assembly with special guest speaker on Nov. 16th.
Wendover High- History classes will discuss Veterans Day.
