A look back at the 2018 Teacher of the Year

If you ask one of Samantha Liptac’s fourth-grade students what a mistake is, they will likely respond with one of her favorite mottos, “Mistakes are proof you are trying.” Liptac prominently displays the phrase in her classroom throughout the school year. She uses it to remind students it is okay to make mistakes, especially when they learn from them. But it certainly was no mistake Liptac was selected as the 2018 Tooele County School District Teacher of the Year.
