The online school is supported by the education provider, My Tech High, and is for students kindergarten through 12th grade.
Students enrolled in Blue Peak Online are enrolled full time with core and elective courses taught throughout the year that follow Utah guidelines. Although students take classes online they still have access to in-person resources such as special education or counseling through Blue Peak High School.
This will offer students who need or want something different than the traditional classroom setting to complete their education. There are no additional costs to parents or students. Blue Peak Online is funded through state and local taxes.
“We are trying to be forward thinking and accommodate students with different learning styles,” said Scott Rogers, TCSD superintendent. “ When it comes to education one size doesn’t fit all.”
In May there will be an open house for families interested in the online school.
